Background:
"Digger" was a normal boy. He was born in 1996 in a mostly abandoned (and shut down) mining town. He was physically active and somewhat interested in sports. Together with a few friends he often played in or near the abandoned mines despite that their parents forbade it because of the dangers.
On halloween 2008 he went by the mines as a shortcut after being at a friends place. He saw lights in the mines and went inside because he was curious to learn who was in there. Unfortunatly the mines opened up into the hedge for a few minutes every year; at midnight on halloween. The passing hobgoblin caravan captured him and brought him deep into the hedge, to a goblin market, where he was sold to a taskmaster from the Fell Mines in arcadia.
For years he was forced to work in the mines, often at the unexplored regions where the cracks in the corpse-rock left room only for children. When four years had passed he found a way out of the mines by chance and ran as fast as he could to get away from the Mines and back to the town where he was born. He spent a couple weeks in the hedge, trying to find the way back, and finally found and opened a gateway to exit the mines of his hometown.
When he returned home his parents did not recognice him and he could see himself sitting inside, only a younger version. He learned that while he had toiled in arcadia for four years only four weeks had passed on earth. He got upset and tried to convince them of what had happened and that the young boy was an imposter. They, of course, did not belive him and called the police who dragged him away.
A winter courtier who kept tabs on police reports learned of the "crazy homeless boy" (for he was dressed in rags now) and dropped by to investigate. When he could see that the "madman" was a fellow changeling he helped him get out and insisted that he drop his old life and come join the community in Aberdeen. He could not keep calling himself by his name so instead he adopted "Digger" as that was his name in the mines of arcadia. Digger followed the stranger to Aberdeen and joined the winter court (after being scared witless by an autumn court recruiter).

Appearance:
Digger is a seventeen year old boy who is very small for his age. He is 148cm and slightly hunched over. He is thin as if he was badly malnourished. He has slightly pointed ears, a pointed nose and greenish skin. His eyes are completely yellow with tiny black pupils. He is bald and appears completely hairless. He is also very skitterish and any sudden noises or lights can make him try to hide out of instinct, something he is very good at.
